Transportation

The conference JCCA 2014 is held at Tsukuba Center for Institutes of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology - Japan).

( from Tsukuba Center for Institutes home page)

This place is about 20 minutes walk  from Tsukuba Station of TX railway or Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal.  There is a pedestrian deck from the bus terminal to Tsukuba Center for Institutes.

Tsukuba city is located at about 40 km north west from Narita Airport and about 50 km north east from  Tokyo.  There is a train line from a Tokyo down town (Akihabara) to the center of Tsukuba city. It takes about 45 minutes.  There are three airports around Tsukuba city. We recommend direct bus services to arrive Tsukuba city from the airports.

Bus services from airports to Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal

The bus services ( AIRPORT LINER NAT'S) to Tsukuba Center  are start from Terminal 2 at  7:40, 9:05, 10:35, 12:50, 14:30,  16:15, 17:20, 18:45, 20:10 and stop at Terminal 1  five minutes after. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes to  Tsukuba Center.  The ticket costs 2,540 JPY. You can buy the ticket in the bus or a ticket counter in the arrival lobby.
There are direct bus services from Haneda Airport to Tsukuba Center . The buses start International Terminal at  9:15, 11:15, 14:45, 16:05, 17:45, 19:20, 20:45, 22:05.  It takes about 2 hours to Tsukuba Center. The ticket is 1,850 JPY. You can buy the ticket at the ticket counter or in the bus.
Ibaraki airport is a small local airport. There is bus service to Tsuskuba Center , but it is very inconvenient. We recommend the share-ride taxi. it costs  2,000 JPY per person to Tsukuba city. But you need to reserve by phone.  If you want to use the service, mail to jcca-office@sk.tsukuba.ac.jp ,  Chinese language is acceptable.
