The practical works and trainings offered by the College of Policy and Planning Sciences are one of the education programs given most earnestly by the faculty. Through the experiences working on assignments based on practical hypothetical approaches, it is considered that students can obtain knowledge and skills useful in the real world.

Among them, practical works for juniors and graduation works for seniors for each major offer an intellectual excitement of thinking together about the modern concerns that the faculty is engaged in the real world to draw out ideas.

Integration and emergence. These two words are the keywords of the educational organization related to the social engineering. This is an idea unique to the social engineering that uses approaches to find new problems and search for solutions in the interdisciplinary environment.

At the "Urban Science of Tokyo" offered at the interdisciplinary area, the urban city Tokyo is featured to learn about its multilateral aspects through ten lectures. In addition, students visit actual towns such as Aoyama as a field work and visit the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Edo-Tokyo Museum to deepen their understanding.
